This investment was led by Hushan Capital and SMIC Juyuan, followed by National Tsing Hua University, and the old shareholder Zhongnan Venture Capital made additional investment. This is the second financing since the establishment of SMIC. In April of this year, Shenzhen Venture Capital and Zhongnan Capital completed an angel round of financing for Zixin Technology.

It is a professional manufacturer of semiconductor perfluorinated sealing products, focusing on high-end sealing materials and product solutions. It has the first domestic semiconductor perfluorinated sealing production line. The product has the characteristics of ultra-clean, high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. The company integrates research and development, design, manufacturing, and sales capabilities. Compared with similar foreign companies, the company is more efficient. The time for customizing products is generally about three weeks, which is half of the same period.

When the high-energy gas stream touches the surface of the modified material, it will cause the physical surface of the material to be damaged. Chemical changes have caused strong corrosion to the sealing material.” Xinmi Technology has provided its own solution to the semiconductor sealing problem. Its product perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) is a terpolymer composed of monomers. , Where all hydrogen atoms are replaced by fluorine. The molecular chain does not contain hydrogen, which can significantly improve its chemical resistance and heat resistance to meet the stringent environmental requirements in the semiconductor manufacturing process (including high temperature, corrosive gas, plasma, high cleanliness, etc.).

According to industry data, in the consumable consumption of semiconductor wafer manufacturing plants, semiconductor sealing expenditure accounts for more than 10% of all consumable expenditures. The industry data at the end of October 2020 shows that the localization rate of my country’s semiconductor perfluorinated sealing products is almost zero, and Xinmi Technology will make an important contribution to the improvement of the localization rate of semiconductor sealing materials.

According to Chen Shaojin, managing director of SMIC, Shanghai Xinmi has the only excellent team in China that independently develops and produces perfluorinated seal products. Related O-ring products have been verified by leading customers in the industry and purchased in batches. At this stage, domestic semiconductor perfluorinated seals are mainly monopolized by overseas giants. Downstream Fabless and equipment manufacturers have a strong willingness to substitute domestically, and there is a huge market for substitution in the future.
