TMCS1100 and TMCS1101

The industry’s first zero-drift Hall-effect current sensor

TI’s TMCS1100 and TMCS1101 current sensors won the Sensor of the Year Award. In order to improve system performance and extend service life, from robustness to high precision, all aspects of global industrial systems are increasingly demanding. These requirements of next-generation industrial applications have put forward corresponding requirements for current sensing to connect with the high-voltage trend of global robust and high-performance systems.

TI’s TMCS1100 and TMCS1101 are the industry’s first zero-drift Hall effect current sensors. These devices have the lowest drift and highest accuracy over time and temperature, while providing reliable 3kVrms isolation. This is particularly important for AC or DC high voltage systems such as industrial motor drives, solar inverters, energy storage equipment and power supplies.

With these new sensors, TI uses its industry-leading expertise in isolation and high-precision analog to help engineers design systems that can provide consistent performance and diagnostics over longer device lifetimes, while achieving smaller system sizes and reductions Design time.

Even when the temperature changes and the device is aging, the zero-drift architecture and real-time sensitivity compensation of TMCS1100 and TMCS1101 can achieve extremely high performance. The device has a leading total sensitivity drift with temperature, the maximum is 0.45%, which is 1/3 of other magnetic current sensors. Its maximum full-scale offset drift is less than 0.1%. It can provide high measurement accuracy and reliability in various current ranges.

The 0.5% lifetime sensitivity drift of this device is only half that of other magnetic current sensors, and it significantly reduces system aging-related performance degradation caused by changes over time.
